A new date for the Mrs. Oklahoma 2012 pageant

Hello everyone,

Well it looks like there were too many conflicts with other things for the Dec. 3rd date for the pageant so it has been moved to Feb. 25th 2012. I was shocked and kind of upset at first. I felt like a pregnant lady who has just been told she will have to wait 3 more months longer. But now that I have thought a little about it I feel like it will be a good thing! The holidays will be more relaxing and I may enjoy my family without all the extra pressure. So please if you thought that you would be unable to attend before...save the date and come support all of the contestants in February

HomeTeam TV Show from 2007 where we received our first home.

Having our producer from our show in town this week has made me think about this AWESOME experience and I would like to share that with those of you who have not heard about it or seen the show. I have been wanting to share a little more about our experience for awhile with the HomeTeam show that was back in 2007 where they surprised us with our first home, renovated by the HomeTeam professionals and our families.  So Fun!!!  I thought I would just share a slideshow of some of the photos that were taken from that AWESOME time. If you would like to view the show the links are on the lower left side of my blog.

My Skin Care Regimen

Hello everyone! It has been a long time since I have posted on my blog so I would like to start posting individualized blog entries about my fabulous sponsors because, let’s face it, I couldn’t do this journey without them!

To begin, I’d like to talk about my skin care regimen, since I am frequently asked about how I keep my skin looking so young and healthy. As a senior in high school, I started using Clinique. It did not take long to become a hard core “Clinique” girl. I enjoyed using the products and the line is designed and targeted towards the age group that I was in at the time.

Since that time, I continued using strictly Clinique products for the next fourteen years! That is, until a friend of
mine approached me about trying Abronne’s skin care products, which are designed specifically for the age that I am now. I was skeptical of the home-based business my friend Julie had started, and wondered if the products would be very high quality. She was clever enough to give me a full sized kit of the RE9 line to use for 2 weeks. (I don’t know about you, but I don’t do the little sample packets).

It didn’t take long for me to get hooked on Arbonne’s skin care, so I promptly did a cost comparison and found that the cost was almost the same! Arbonne also offers a discount which ranges from 20-80% off with a bonus free product with your first order. They also offer products now for all age ranges, from the crib to the grave. You will get the discount if you pay a yearly $29 fee to become a wholesale customer.

Unlike Clinique, Arbonne is always offering specials and deals when you purchase a certain amount of product. With all the perks I was gaining from becoming a wholesale customer, I was sold on Arbonne. Especially because Clinique never goes on sale and only offers a gift with purchase 2 times a year!

I started using the Arbonne skin care line (more specifically the RE9 line) in 2004. I also love that I can become just a wholesale customer without committing to start up my own Arbonne business!
If you would like to know more about Arbonne’s RE9 line and other great products from the company please contact my rep, Britane Diacon-Boese, and she will tell you all you need to know! Here is a little about Britane (pronounced Brittany):

Britane

"Hello, my name is Britane' Boese. I began my adventure with Arbonne in January of 2008. I jumped in with both feet and I haven't looked back since. I started my business as a junior in college at Oklahoma Christian University. I have a bachelor's degree in Family Studies/Child Development and am currently working on my masters in counseling psychology. I married my wonderful husband in September of 2007 and we enjoy a busy, crazy, but wonderful life together.  Despite our busy schedules, my husband and I love the opportunity we have with arbonne and the freedom it brings to our marriage and our future family. Let me show you how Arbonne can be a fit for you and your hectic and loud life and how it might just be the best decision you've ever made! "

Please feel free to comment and ask any other questions you may have about my skin care regimen. I will post more at a later date about this company and other favorite products.

Week of Crossfit on KSBI Day 1 Intro to Crossfit

As I had mentioned in an earlier post from July 31st that Kealey had come to Crossfit OKC (the gym I’m training with) and did a workout with us and did a story for her show the episode aired on August 8th. The fun thing about it is that there were 4 segments featured from the “Kickin it with Kealey” Monday through Thursday of that week. Every day they had a little something different about Crossfit OKC. If you want to check it out… see the links below to see these featured segments from KSBI’s “All About You” morning show hosted by Kealey McIntire. REMEMBER TO PAUSE THE MUSIC PLAYER AT THE BOTTOM SO YOU CAN HEAR ;o)

UCO Reach Higher Promo

Hey everyone,

Yes, that was me on the advertisement before the movie you went to see the other day :o)  I am getting lots of "Was that you?" questions so I thought I would blog about it.   I am currently enrolled at U.C.O. working on completing my Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership.  It is a program that is offered through UCOs adult degree program which offers a lot of classes on-line to make it easier to finish your degree.  The Reach Higher Program at UCO was looking for adult students to help with advertising so my advisors (who all know that I am competing for Mrs. Oklahoma) told them to contact me :o).  They are running the short ad below before the movie starts at the Quail Springs Cinema and at the Harkins downtown.  I believe that they are also doing something on the U.C.O website and some print material as well.  As soon as I know more I will post info about the other things.  I tried to look studious so I wore my hair up and kept my glasses on. Did it work - lol! I know that you are all now motivated to contact UCO and get rolling with your own degree advancement because my hair is up and my glasses are on tee hee!!

It's funny because  J.B. and I went out of town to my little brother's wedding and our boys were spending some time with family and friends.  I received a text from my sister-in-law, Sheri, and she said that she had taken the boys to see a movie.  They were sitting in the theater waiting for the movie to start.  The ads were rolling and one of the boys says, "Hey that looks like my mom!".   She said, "Hey that is your mom!"  I guess I need to do a better job letting my family know what I'm up to ;o)

'til next time - Simone
